About the Albany
The Albany is an arts centre in the heart of Deptford that exists to inspire, develop and support creativity for the benefit of our community, encompassing the London Borough of Lewisham and beyond. Together with our sister site Deptford Lounge, which we manage on behalf of Lewisham Council, we provide:
- an artistic and community resource where diversity and creativity flourish
- a space where new talent is nurtured and exposed to new ideas
- high quality creative experiences that speak to the communities we serve
- a creative centre for learning and working, contributing to the cultural, social and economic ecosystem of South East London
Alongside four performance spaces, a bar, café, garden and coworking hub, the Albany offers a range of low-cost rehearsal space, meeting rooms and private offices for community and creative businesses. We aim to foster a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone is inspired to get creative, and where artists are supported and developed, in part through programmes such as Associate Artists, the Deptford Lounge Exhibition Programme, and Creative Communities Membership schemes.
We have over 30 office spaces across our two sites, providing a home to 25 organisations, including 8 of the 12 Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations based in Lewisham.

Office Space at the Albany
Join us in our flagship building in the heart of Deptford. Pick up a coffee on your way into work from our centrally-located community cafe, and enjoy your lunch in our shared garden space – a green oasis in the middle of Deptford. With a variety of meeting rooms available for hire to complement your office work, the Albany is also home to our Coworking hub should you have the need to expand your activity for the day.
Offices are available to access Monday-Friday 09.00 to 20.00 and Saturdays 10.00 to 15.00.
Office Space at Deptford Lounge
Deptford Lounge is an award-winning, purpose built community hub directly off the bustling high street. Located on the second and third floors of the building, these offices provide secure access and are fully accessible. Book our sprung-floor studio or outdoor ballcourt if you’re feeling like a break from the day-to-day, or pop down to the ground floor to take out a book or make use of the Business Databases and Grant Finder resources provided by Lewisham Libraries via the BIPC Lewisham
Offices are available to access Monday-Friday 09.00 to 21.00, Saturdays 09.00 to 17:00 and Sundays 10.00 to 16.00.
