This installation showcases materials generated from a creative session, involving movement and crafts, held in March 2025 at the Albany. It offers a glimpse into the workshop, where participants reflected on the routes and trajectories they once took in places they called home, alongside the ones they now navigate in London – perhaps another home.

Though they grew up in different countries, but they share a common Latin American heritage, intertwining experiences of migration and affective memories that reside in smells, tastes, textures, and sounds.

The works displayed in this exhibition were inspired by reflections from Sol Santana, Katya Kasterine, and Maka Marambio (assistant), alongside Flora Baltz, who curated and composed the exhibition. Together, they offer insight into the participants’ personal journeys and their connections to both past and present homes.

The exhibition was created as part of the Albany’s Pizza and Pitches programme, which invites local residents to pitch a creative idea to win £1000 of funding and support from the Albany team to make it happen.

The exhibition will be hosted in the Albany CaffA from Wednesday 2 – Wednesday 16 April, and at Deptford Lounge from Thursday 17 – Tuesday 29 April.
