Coming from a very musical family, with her late uncle Earl Lindo of The Wailers having started her on the path of songwriting, Leiyah has seized every opportunity to create and perform. Attending the world-renowned BRIT School, she released her debut album in 2019 to strong acclaim – bartering support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Capital Xtra in the process. Her strong drive for music making has seen her work with Berlin-based, Grammy, MPG & multi-platinum award-winning Engineer, Kevin Tuffy (Kelly Rowland, Chaka Khan) and Reef (50 Cent, Fat Joe) as well as breakthrough performances at Metrofest, Titanfest and a support slot for R&B legend Meli’sa Morgan.

Taking time out for a couple of years has afforded Leiyah the opportunity to reevaluate her sound and to finally draw on her rich tapestry of musical influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Paramore, Blondie, The XX, No Doubt, Avril Lavigne to name but a few.

Fast forward to September of this year, Leiyah has released a genre defying break-up anthem as a “boundary pushing popstar” as described by Wonderland magazine.
