Five amazing projects will pitch for the chance to receive £1000 of funding, and we want our audiences, collaborators, friends and neighbours to decide who wins on Wednesday 26 March 2025. The five pitches will be available to watch on our website, and you can either vote online or by popping in to our in-person event (*free pizza guaranteed).
Deadline to apply: Midnight, Wednesday 26 February
How does it work?
The final five ideas will be chosen by a panel made up of Albany Young Creatives and members of Meet Me at the Albany. The shortlisted projects will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas live and the audience will vote for the winner!
Who can enter?
Anyone! Individuals, community groups, grassroots organisations, artists and companies. You should have an idea for a project that can be presented at the Albany on at least two occasions. You should live, work, or have a connection to Deptford/New Cross.
This time, in honour of LGBTQIA+ History Month, we’re interested in hearing about events made with, by and for the LGBTQIA+ community.
What is the Albany?
The Albany is an arts centre in Deptford, South East London. We believe in involving people, through participation and partnerships, and are a hub for the arts and community. We present a huge range of events and opportunities each year, across artforms and for all ages. We’re really interested in projects which might work well in the Albany and Deptford Lounge public spaces, like the foyers, cafes and garden space.
What access support is available?
We would be happy to discuss any access requirements at any stage of the process. There is a small access budget available if needed.

If you cannot be available for this event, you will not be eligible this time.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss access support, please email creative@thealbany.org.uk.
