Unravel was formed by four Deptford-based artists exploring fusion of electronic music and video work. Born out of a desire to find a safe space for experimentation and blurring of medium boundaries, the events offer an opportunity to engage in a performance that is unique and singular – allowing the performing artists to respond to the space and to one another’s work. Previous performances came from founding members Ammonite and Semi Precious, inspired from original visual from Yasmin Vardi. The upcoming event expands its curation and gives stage to bold, experimental pop acts, responding to Vardi’s nocturnal visual imagery.

Bob Braun creates experimental pop productions that seek internal monologues with queerness, longing and belonging. His trilogy work Spectra (I) – (III) sees the singer-producer further delving into nocturnal hauntings of the body.

JL Segel (Rotem Haguel) utilises a modular approach to music making, marrying dance-inspired motifs with minimalist composition. His work explores change in musical material through pattern-based repetition, promoting a contemplative form of listening.

I. Nakhla (aka end measure) scribbles the city with the voices of its non-normative, as their music and artistry pull at a range of electronic genres, including 00’s house, garage, and pop. They compose for films and games and perform their sound works and experimental DJ sets.

Yasmin Vardi is a multidisciplinary artist who works across video, installation photography and text, delving into themes of power structures, crisis and trauma. Her work investigates the intricate connections between value, technology, abstraction, our physicality and our lifestyles.
