Join Bernadette Russell to reignite this tradition in the heart of Deptford, and sit in a circle under October’s full moon for an evening of ancient tales for an adult audience, revisited for the 21st century.

There’ll be stories of a lost moon and those brave enough to rescue her, stories of those bedazzled and enchanted by moonlight and how they might find their way home, stories of how in ancient times we understood and loved the moon, as well as more recent stories of how deeply we realised the preciousness of earth as we saw pictures beamed back to us from those who walked on her surface.

We’ll hear from those other earthlings who walk in moonlight in our city: cats, foxes, and other stranger, wilder, older beings too. There’ll be an invitation to reflect on our relationship with the moon and the wild green spaces of London, and you will be invited to enjoy a chance to sit, relax, listen, play and wish, to leave your troubles behind, to find joy and peace, to gaze at the moon and to dream together of better days to come…
